RESPONSIBILITIES
CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS MAINLY ACTS AS AN INTERMEDIARY BETWEEN THE CLIENT AND THE ENTITIES OR PERSONS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE PROVISION OF THE DIFFERENT SERVICES CONTRACTED THROUGH THE COMPANY: VEHICLE RENTAL, GUIDES, RESTAURANTS, SPORTS, HOTELS OR ANY OTHER SERVICE NOT PROVIDED DIRECTLY BY THE COMPANY. AS A TRAVEL AGENT, CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS WILL ASSIST THE CUSTOMER TO THE EXTENT POSSIBLE IN THE RESOLUTION OF ANY KIND OF INCONVENIENCE, BUT COMPLAINTS SHOULD BE DIRECTED FIRST TO THE SERVICE OPERATOR WHO IS RESPONSIBLE ON THE SITE AND THEN TO CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS. ALSO, THE COSTS THAT THE SUPPLIERS CHANGE FROM EXTEMPORARY WAY, AFTER THE FULL PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE, WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER. THESE COSTS MAY BE MODIFIED DUE TO THE INCREASE IN THE PRICE OF FUEL, NEW TAXES, CURRENCIES, AMONG OTHERS. CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS WILL NOTIFY THE CUSTOMER OF SUCH CHANGES AS SOON AS THEY HAVE BEEN INFORMED ABOUT THEM.
CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOSS OR THEFT OF PERSONAL OBJECTS, DAMAGES, ACCIDENTS, NATURAL DISASTERS, ILLNESS, INJURIES, MORAL OR PHYSICAL DAMAGES, DEATH OR OTHER CALAMITY DUE TO WEATHER WEATHER, PROTESTOS COMPANY CONTROL. THE ADDITIONAL EXPENSES INCURRED DUE TO THIS TYPE OF DISASTER WILL BE SUPPLIED BY THE CUSTOMER, AS WELL AS OVERSELLED AIR TICKETS, DELAYS, CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULES OR OTHER INCONVENIENCES WITH THE FLIGHTS.
IF ANY OF THE SITUATIONS OR FORCE MAJEURE ARISES, WE WILL WORK AND STRIVE TO FIND A SOLUTION AND HELP THE CUSTOMER AVOID THE SITUATION IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE. HOWEVER, CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR THE ADDITIONAL COSTS THAT THESE PROBLEMS GENERATE. THEREFORE, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MODIFY ITINERARIES, ACTIVITIES, TRANSPORTATION, PROGRAMS AND ROUTES WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE IF THERE IS A FORCE MAJEURE.
IN GENERAL, OUR PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE (UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS ARE OFFICIALLY EXPRESSED): ANY EXPENSES MADE TO AND FROM THE DESTINATION DURING TRANSFERS, MEALS NOT SPECIFIED IN THE SERVICE DESCRIPTION, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR UTILITY CALLS PERSONAL OBJECTS AND SERVICES NOT SPECIFIED IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PACKAGE.
CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES, EXPENSES, INCORRECT INFORMATION OR ANY OTHER CONSEQUENCE RESULTING FROM ERRORS WHEN BROWSING THE WEBSITE.
RESERVATION
TO MAKE THE RESERVATION MORE THAN 20 DAYS BEFORE THE TRIP, A PAYMENT OF AT LEAST 50% OF THE TOTAL VALUE OF THE SERVICE MUST BE MADE. THE PAYMENT OF THE SURPLUS MUST BE PAID 20 DAYS BEFORE THE START. IF THE RESERVATION IS MADE LESS THAN 20 DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST DAY OF THE TRIP, THE FULL PRICE MUST BE PAID. IN SOME CASES, A CHARGE OF MORE THAN 50% OF THE TOTAL PRICE WILL BE MADE FOR DIFFERENT CAUSES (HIGH SEASONS, HOLIDAYS, REQUESTS FROM OUR SUPPLIERS, ETC.). IN SUCH CASES, CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS WILL INFORM THE CUSTOMER IN ADVANCE.
THE RESERVATION IS CONSIDERED VALID AND ACCEPTED AT THE MOMENT THAT CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS SENDS AN EMAIL OR CONFIRMATION MESSAGE THROUGH ONE OF ITS OFFICIAL MEANS. IT IS AT THIS POINT THAT THE CONTRACT IS CREATED BETWEEN THE CUSTOMER (YOU) AND THE COMPANY (CARIBBEAN ECO OTURS).
CARIBEEAN ECO TOURS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE SERVICE IF THE AGREED PAYMENT IS NOT MADE WITHIN THE SPECIFIED PERIOD.
CHANGES IN THE RESERVATION
CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS WILL ALWAYS SEEK TO HELP THE CLIENT IN THE MODIFICATION OF SOME OF THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PREVIOUSLY MADE RESERVATION. HOWEVER, THE COMPANY DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT IT CAN COMPLY WITH THE CUSTOMER’S REQUIREMENTS, AS IT DEPENDS ON EACH OF THE PROVIDERS AND THEIR POLICIES. IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO MAKE THE CHANGE REQUESTED BY THE CUSTOMER, THE CUSTOMER MUST BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ADDITIONAL COSTS CAUSED BY THE CHANGE. CHANGES ARE SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY.
PAYMENT METHODS AND PROCESS
- WE DO NOT ACCEPT THIRD PARTY PAYMENTS. THE PERSON OWNER OF A CREDIT CARD WITH WHICH IT IS PAID MUST BE ONE OF THE TRAVELERS.
- PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIMES AGREED IN THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, EXCEPT FOR A DIFFERENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES WITH WRITTEN SUPPORT. PAYMENTS CAN BE MADE WITH VISA, MASTERCARD OR AMERICAN EXPRESS CREDIT CARDS THROUGH OUR WEBSITE. CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS S.A.S WILL CHARGE 5% OF THE TOTAL PURCHASE PRICE TO COVER ADDITIONAL CHARGES FOR THE USE OF THE CREDIT CARD.
- ONCE THE PAYMENT IS MADE, WE WILL CARRY OUT THE RESPECTIVE CONTROLS TO AVOID ALL KINDS OF FRAUD AND SO PROTECT BOTH PARTIES, BOTH CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS AND THE CUSTOMER. WE MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION SUCH AS A COPY OF THE PASSPORT OR ADDRESS TO CONFIRM THE AUTHENTICITY OF PAYMENTS; FOR THIS WE WILL NEED A QUICK RESPONSE.
- CREDIT CARD HANDLING EXPENSES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
- WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE CHECK PAYMENTS AS A PAYMENT METHOD.
CANCELLATION PROCESS
IF FOR ANY REASON THE CUSTOMER WISHES TO CANCEL THE RESERVATION ALREADY ACQUIRED, IN ANY CASE AND DUE TO THE COSTS INCURRED BY THE COMPANY, THE CUSTOMER CAN CHANGE THE DATE, THEY WILL HAVE THREE MONTHS AFTER THE PURCHASE TO REDEEM THEIR PACKAGE.
MEDICAL AND INSURANCE CONDITIONS
THE CLIENT IS OBLIGED TO NOTIFY THE COMPANY IN WRITING OF ANY TYPE OF ILLNESS, DISORDER, PREGNANCY, DISABILITY OR OTHER PHYSICAL DISABILITY THAT AFFECTS ONE OF THE ACTIVITIES TO BE CARRIED OUT DURING THE TRIP OR REQUIRES SPECIAL ATTENTION.
IT IS RECOMMENDED TO CONSULT A DOCTOR BEFORE MAKING A RESERVATION TO ENSURE THAT YOU ARE IN GOOD PHYSICAL AND MENTAL CONDITION.
CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS RECOMMENDS THE ACQUISITION OF TRAVEL INSURANCE THAT MEETS YOUR NEEDS AND IS VALID DURING THE TOTAL TRAVEL TIME
2.- OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF
ALL TEAM MEMBERS (ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF AND TOUR GUIDES) MUST HAVE VIRTUAL AND ON PAPER THE RULES, REGULATIONS AND RESOLUTIONS ESTABLISHED BY THE COMPANY.
3.- OF THE TOURS OR PACKAGES
PRIOR TO THE ARRIVAL OF THE CLIENTS, ALL THE TOURS MUST BE CAREFULLY SCHEDULED AND EACH MEMBER OF THE TEAM0 (ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF AND TOUR GUIDES) MUST HAVE SUCH A WRITTEN TOUR SCHEDULE FOR THE EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT EXECUTION.
4.- OF THE TOURIST GUIDES
- IF THE GUIDE DESIGNATED FOR A TOUR CANNOT COMPLY WITH HIS WORK DUE TO FORCE MAJEURE, MUST HAVE AN ALTERNATE GUIDE AVAILABLE TO FULFILL THE REQUIRED SHIFT.
- THE AGENCy WILL BE IN CHARGE OF ESTABLISHING ALLIANCES AND CARRYING OUT THE NECESSARY PROCESSES TO ENSURE FREE ENTRY OF THE GUIDES TO MOST OF THE FACILITIES THAT ARE VISITED ON EACH TOUR.
- THE TOURIST GUIDE SHOULD ENSURE THAT CUSTOMERS OR TOURISTS DO NOT LEAVE GARBAGE OR WASTE IN INAPPROPRIATE OR NOT ALLOWED PLACES.
- THE TOURIST GUIDE SHOULD BE AS ATTENTIVE AS POSSIBLE TO ANY SITUATION THAT COULD ATTACK THE TOURISTS, IN THE SAME WAY, SHOULD WARN THESE OF ALL THE POSSIBLE RISKS TO WHICH THEY WILL BE EXPOSED AND FOR WHICH THE COMPANY MAY NOT BE LIABLE TALKING OR ASSAULT OF PEOPLE OUTSIDE THE COMPANY).
5.- OF THE CLIENTS OR TOURISTS
- ANY EXPENSE THAT THE CUSTOMER HAS OUTSIDE OF WHAT IS OFFERED WITHIN THE TOURIST PACKAGE, MUST BE COSTED BY THE CUSTOMER.
- CARIBBEAN ECO TOURS IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ITS CUSTOMERS FROM THE MOMENT THEY ARE TRAVELED TO START A TOUR, UNTIL THE TIME OF RETURN TO THE PICK-UP POINT (SOME FACILITIES OR ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE PACKAGES HAVE THEIR OWN SECURITY CRITERIA OUTSIDE THE COMPANY).
- CUSTOMERS OR TOURISTS WILL BE AWARE, FROM THE MOMENT IN WHICH THEY MAKE THE RESERVATION OF A PACKAGE, THAT THE ROUTES WILL BE RECORDED AND PHOTOGRAPHED FOR THE ORIGINAL MULTIMEDIA DOCUMENTATION OF THE COMPANY, HOWEVER, THE CUSTOMER HAS THE RIGHT TO ONLY YOU ARE KEPT ANONYMOUS.
6.- OF THE TOURS SALES
- IF A TOUR IS NOT TAKEN BY AN EVENT, NO MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED TO THE CUSTOMER, INSTEAD, A VOUCHER OR VOUCHER WILL BE GIVEN TO GIVE ACCESS TO THE PACKAGE ON A LATER DAY.
- THE CUSTOMER OR TOURIST MUST MAKE THEIR RESERVATION WITH A MINIMUM OF FIVE TO THREE DAYS IN ADVANCE.
- WHEN A TOURS OR PACKAGES SALE IS MADE THROUGH TOURISM AGENCIES OR ANY EXTERNAL AGENT, ASSOCIATED WITH THE COMPANY’S SALES, THE PAYMENT TRANSACTION CAN ONLY BE MADE DIRECTLY BETWEEN THE CLIENT AND THE ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF.
7.- TRANSPORTATION SERVICE
IF THE DRIVER OR TRANSPORTATION DESIGNATED FOR A TOUR CANNOT COMPLY WITH THE ESTABLISHED ITINERARY FOR A TRIP, OTHER TRANSPORTATION MUST BE PREPARED THAT CAN COMPLY WITH THE SCHEDULED TRIP.
8.- RESPONSIBLE TOURISM
AS AN ECOLOGICAL TOURISM AGENCY WE HAVE A GREAT COMMITMENT TO OUR CLIENTS, OUR STAFF, THE COMMUNITY IN GENERAL AND THE ENVIRONMENT. THAT IS WHY WITHIN OUR POLICIES WE EMPHASIS ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF RESPONSIBLE TOURISM: FREE FROM ILLEGALITY AND AGGRESSION TO THE ELEMENTS ALREADY MENTIONED.
WE ARE COMMITTED TO OFFERING AND EXECUTING A COMPLETE AND QUALITY GUIDED ECO-TOURISM AND ETHNO-TOURISM SERVICE, WHICH ENCOURAGES OTHERS TO PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT, TO EXPAND THEIR KNOWLEDGE AS TO THE ENJOYMENT AND FAUNA OF THE FLOWER NEGATIVE IN THESE AND TO PROMOTE RESPECT BETWEEN PEOPLE REGARDLESS OF SEX, RACE OR CREED.
IN THE SAME WAY, WE HAVE THE DUTY TO PROMOTE THE STRENGTHENING OF SOCIAL RELATIONS BETWEEN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND FOREIGNERS THROUGH ACTIVITIES THAT BENEFIT THE TRADE OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED MANUFACTURERS AND BUSINESSMEN, ACTIVITIES COMPLEMENTARY, AND COMPREHENSIVE KNOWLEDGE ACTIVITIES IN PARTNERSHIPS. THE PEOPLE INVOLVED IN EACH TOUR.
TOURIST OR CUSTOMER SUPPORT TO RESPONSIBLE TOURISM
- THE TOURIST WILL INVESTIGATE IN ADVANCE ALL THE INFORMATION THAT IS NECESSARY ABOUT THE DESTINATION THEY WISH TO VISIT.
- CUSTOMERS SHOULD TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE PURCHASE OF PRODUCTS THAT DO NOT REQUIRE THE AGGRESSIVE USE OF PLANTS AND LESS THE USE OF ANIMALS FOR THEIR MANUFACTURE.
- THE CLIENT OR TOURIST SHOULD NOT BUY GOODS THAT BELONG TO THE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF THE SITE THAT IS WALKING ON A CERTAIN TOUR.
- THE CLIENT OR TOURIST SHOULD EXPAND THEIR ETHNO-TOURISM EXPERIENCE BY LEARNING PROPER WORDS FROM THE COMMUNITY DIALECT, AND ALSO LEARN BASIC PHRASES TO COMMUNICATE IN THE OFFICIAL LANGUAGE OF THE PLACE TO VISIT.
- WHEN YOU WISH TO PURCHASE A SOUVENIR, THE CUSTOMER OR TOURIST SHOULD BUY CRAFTS OR MEMORIES OF ANY KIND, DIRECTLY FROM THEIR MANUFACTURERS, THEY WILL BE ABLE TO OFFER YOU A HISTORICAL REVIEW AND TRANSMIT THEIR AFFECTION FOR THE OBJECT.
- THE CUSTOMER OR TOURIST SHOULD REPORT ANY BEHAVIOR THAT MAKES HIM SUSPECT OF INVOLUNTARY SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OR MINORS. ALSO, IT WILL REPORT BEHAVIORS INVOLVING THE USE OF ILLICIT SUBSTANCES OR NON-PRESCRIPTION NARCOTICS.
- THE CUSTOMER OR TOUR GUIDE SHOULD COMPLY WITH THE LOCAL LAWS OF THE PLACE TO BE VISITED TO AVOID INCONVENIENCES WITH THE RELEVANT AUTHORITIES.
- THE CUSTOMER OR TOURIST SHOULD RESPECT THE CULTURE OF THE COMMUNITY THAT IS EXPLORING.
- THE TOURIST OR CUSTOMER MUST CARRY THEIR IDENTIFICATION DOCUMENTS WITH THEM AT ALL TIMES.
OBJECTIVES OF THE COMPANY TO SUPPORT RESPONSIBLE TOURISM
THE COMPANY SHALL PROMOTE AND IMPLEMENT THE ECOLOGICAL IDEOLOGY THROUGH:
- USE WATER SAFELY IN THE DIFFERENT FACILITIES, BOTH ADMINISTRATIVE AND ON THE WORK FIELD.
- TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ENERGY SOURCES USED IN OUR FACILITIES AND IN THE PROVISION OF OUR SERVICES EFFICIENTLY.
- PROPERLY DISPOSE OF THE WASTE GENERATED DURING THE PROVISION OF OUR SERVICES AND IN OUR ADMINISTRATIVE FACILITIES.
- CONTROL THE USE OF CHEMICAL PRODUCTS THAT MAY AFFECT THE ECOSYSTEM IN WHICH TOURIST ACTIVITIES ARE DEVELOPED.
- TO KNOW THE CULTURAL AND NATURAL HERITAGE OF THE COLOMBIAN COASTAL ZONE.
- CARRY OUT ACTIVITIES THAT SUPPORT THE COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COMMUNITIES, PROMOTE ECOLOGICAL THINKING IN LOCAL AND FOREIGNERS AND STRENGTHEN RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THEM.
- SUPPORT THE PERSONAL AND LABOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE INDIVIDUALS WHO PARTICIPATE IN AN ACTIVE AND DIRECT WAY IN THE CARRYING OUT OF EACH ACTIVITY SCHEDULED WITHIN OUR SERVICES.
OF THE PROHIBITION OF SEXUAL TOURISM

TO THIS WE ADD LAW 679 OF 2001, “THROUGH WHICH IS ISSUED A STATUTE TO PREVENT AND COUNTER EXPLOITATION, PORNOGRAPHY AND SEXUAL TOURISM WITH MINORS, IN DEVELOPMENT OF ARTICLE 44 OF THE CONSTITUTION.”
IN THE SAME WAY, WITH RESPECT TO LAW 1336 OF 2009, “THROUGH WHICH LAW 679 OF 2001 IS ADDED AND STRENGTHENED, TO FIGHT AGAINST EXPLOITATION, PORNOGRAPHY AND SEXUAL TOURISM WITH CHILDREN, GIRLS AND ADOLESCENTS”, WE DEMAND THE FOLLOWING CODE OF CONDUCT ON THE PART OF OUR STAFF, CLIENTS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC:
- WE DO NOT OFFER PLANS FOR THE SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF MINORS IN OUR PACKAGES.
- WE DO NOT INFORM THE TOURIST ABOUT PLACES WHERE THE COMMERCIAL SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF MINORS IS COORDINATED OR PRACTICE.
- WE DO NOT TAKE TOURISTS TO THE PLACES WHERE THIS TYPE OF ACTIVITIES ARE DEVELOPED NOR DO WE FACILITATE MINORS ‘ACCESS TO TOURIST ACCOMMODATION FOR THE PURPOSES OF SEXUAL EXPLOITATION.
- WE DO NOT FACILITATE TRANSPORTATION OR TOURIST ROUTES FOR THE PURPOSES OF EXPLOITATION OR SEXUAL ABUSE OF CHILDREN, GIRLS AND ADOLESCENTS.
- IT IS FORBIDDEN THAT THE PERSONNEL LINKED TO THE COMPANY FROM OFFERING TOURIST SERVICES THAT ALLOW SEXUAL ACTIVITY OF MINORS.
- WE DECLARE ANY BEHAVIOR THAT PROMOTES THE SEXUAL ABUSE OF MINORS TO THE MINISTRY OF COMMERCE, INDUSTRY AND TOURISM AND OTHER COMPETENT AUTHORITIES.
- WE OFFER TRAINING TO ALL PERSONNEL LINKED TO THE COMPANY ON THE PREVENTION OF COMMERCIAL SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF MINORS.
- WE INFORM OUR USERS ABOUT THE LEGAL CONSEQUENCES IN COLOMBIA OF THE EXPLOITATION AND SEXUAL ABUSE OF MINORS
- OUR CODE OF CONDUCT AND OTHER COMMITMENTS AND MEASURES THAT THE PROVIDER WISHES TO TAKE IN ORDER TO PROTECT MINORS AND AVOID COMPLICATIONS WILL BE POSTED IN A VISIBLE PLACE, OR IN A PHYSICAL DOCUMENT.
REGARDING THE EXTRACTION OF FLORA AND FAUNA AND THE PROTECTION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE
- FLORA OR FAUNA SPECIES WILL NOT BE EXTRACTED FROM THEIR NATURAL HABITAT.
- EXOTIC FLORA AND FAUNA SPECIES SHALL NOT BE INTRODUCED INTO SPACES THAT ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR THEM TO AVOID ALTERATIONS IN EACH HABITAT.
- THE SALE, TRAFFIC OR EXHIBITION OF FLOWERS OR ANIMALS IN EXTINCTION WILL NOT BE SUPPORTED.
- IT WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO GIVE FOOD THAT IS NOT FOUND WITHIN THOSE AUTHORIZED BY THE ESTABLISHMENTS TO ANIMALS.
- ANY ACT OF EXPLOITATION OF FLORA AND FAUNA WILL BE REPORTED TO THE INSTITUTIONS IN CHARGE.
- NO FIREPLACES WILL BE MADE, THIS GENERATES POLLUTION AND DAMAGE IN NATURAL SPACES.
- THE WASTE GENERATED DURING THE RIDES WILL BE PROPERLY DISPOSED OF.
- THE RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING THE BEHAVIOR, RESPECT AND CARE OF VEGETATION AND ANIMALS SHOULD BE FOLLOWED.
AVOID TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS IN UNAUTHORIZED PLACES
